Automated Facebook Ads - Fever-Tree Case Study

Automated Creative has been working with Fever-Tree since the start of lockdown to create audience-first Facebook and Instagram ads at scale using automation. This video captures a presentation by Camille Beaufils - Global Marketing Director at Fever-Tree on the MADFest stage at DMEXCO in October.

Camille tells us that Fever-Tree has always been an innovative brand and wants to keep that spirit central to its marketing strategy. The goal of working with Automated Creative was to harness the power of automation and human insight to create a form of advertising that hadn’t been done before - at a time when all drinks brands rules were being re-written.

Fever-Tree briefed Automated Creative to create ads at scale that were empathetic to the audience and that improved over time based on the data signals from each ads’ performance. 

How did it work?

Automated Creative conducted social listening to map out the vast range of social conversations that were happening about the category. Then AC’s tech generated 100s of ads that responded to each social conversation individually. This process of ‘Strategic Content Optimisation’ allowed Fever-Tree to learn more about their audience by removing assumptions and bias from their Facebook and Instagram advertising.

By working in this innovative new way, Automated Creative gave Fever-Tree a statistically driven understanding of the emotional triggers that were driving performance. 

This process of combining human insight with machine creativity helped Fever-Tree create “contextualised inspiration” which they have used to inspire their next through the line campaign.
