Driving downloads of the Costa App from Facebook ads: How Automated Creative delivered actionable insights for Costa Coffee

Automated Creative were asked to improve the effectiveness of Costa Coffee’s Click & Collect app and to gather first party data on the psychological triggers that drove performance.

The approach?

Automated Creative conducted Social Listening to understand how the target audience were talking about coffee and the role it played in their lives.

We automated the production of a large number of ads that reflected the wants, needs and desires of the audience.

Our ads produced a huge amount of data which our system used to optimise the ads over time.

 

The result?

The campaign delivered a fantastic 20.39% improvement on performance benchmarks.

Through the insights gathered during this campaign, Automated Creative provided clear guidance on the best language and imagery that engaged consumers. We were also able to identify the Costa products that attracted the most downloads

Optimising the ads in-flight reduced content fatigue and improved the performance of the campaign. Finally, Automated Creative generated a wealth of actionable customer data for Costa Coffee. This first-part data can be used to inform Costa’s creative across all their consumer touchpoints.
